| Marathon swim in support of chiropractic researchUntitled Document Dr Rob Hutchings, a regular competitor of triathlons, marathon swims and adventure races is a passionate supporter of the Australian Spinal Research Foundation.
On 3rd December 2012, Rob swam 20km of the Coorong lake in just over 6 hours in what was not only a personal challenge (and a PB!) but also a fundraiser for chiropractic research - a fundraiser to help us provide more research, faster for the chiropractic profession. You don’t have to swim 20km to help secure your professional future!
You can become a partner in the Chiropractic Research Partnership, contributing a one-off donation, a set amount each month or an annual donation. Why not pay for your adjustments by donating the equivalent fee to the Chiropractic Research Partnership?
Click here to find out more and sign on as a Chiropractic Research Partner TODAY!
If you’re not quite ready to become a partner, or just not sure which level to join at, you can still help more people get chiropractic in the future by showing your support right now to Dr Rob and Spinal Research by visiting his fundraising page here to make a donation and pledge your support – it only takes a minute.
Take inspiration from Dr Rob’s amazing challenge by pledging your support to the Chiropractic Research Partnership and join with others who have a passion for the success of chiropractic.

| Launch of the Chiropractic Research Partnership The Australian Spinal Research Foundation launched the Chiropractic Research Partnership at Parker Seminars Sydney in mid June in recognition of the need for more research, faster.
Dr Martin Harvey (Chiropractor), President of the Foundation made the launch presentation from the Parker Seminars stage with many of the delegates joining the Partnership as an immediate consequence.
The following presentation which is similar to that delivered from the Parker stage is a well reasoned, thought provoking 10 minutes, highlighting the areas in which the chiropractic profession is under threat, the importance of more research, faster to the profession’s future and the role of the Chiropractic Research Partnership in facilitating the research and how you can contribute to your profession by becoming a Partner. The presentation is an easy watch and well worth your focused consideration for a few minutes.

| Spinal Research continues to receive support from theAustralasian and international research community
The Foundation each year invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) for grants to support research initiatives.
In 2011 we saw an unprecedented number of researchers submit EOI applications from Australia, USA and the United Kingdom with EOI applications totaling more than $560,000.
The Foundation is excited to receive these applications and is encouraged to know that researchers, chiropractors and chiropractic organisations the world over recognise Spinal Research as a valuable resourceful organisation facilitating research that is unique to the chiropractic paradigm.
The Foundation has established research priorities to support its vision to contribute and resource research that expands our knowledge base in health care delivery for the wellbeing of our community. Funding favours those applications that contribute to the development of chiropractic in key priority areas. For the 2011 round research priorities include: Priority 1: Fundamental Research
The Foundation is interested in supporting research that expands our knowledge and understanding of the vertebral subluxation complex and the chiropractic adjustment.
Priority 2: Clinical Research
The Foundation is interested in supporting clinically oriented studies that contribute to and expand our knowledge and understanding of the impact of chiropractic care on human physiology, the nervous system, global well being and quality of life. |
| Cycling for Chiropractic Research The Australian Spinal Research Foundation would like to thank Team McCraig Air Conditioning for the funds they raised in cycling in the annual Murray to Moyne cycle relay held on April 2nd and 3rd as well as their sponsors. Over $3,500 was raised in support of chiropractic research. It is initiatives of this type that helps the Foundation fulfill its Mission. The Foundation values highly the tremendous support we get from our members, volunteers and donors.
