The Australian Spinal Research Foundation (ASRF) invites expression of interest for Grants to support research initiatives. The Foundation has established research priorities to support its vision to contribute and resource research that expands our knowledge base in health care delivery for the well being of our community.
Funding will favour those Grant applications that contribute to the development of chiropractic in key priority areas. For the 2007 round Research Priorities include:
1. Basic Research.
Currently there are limited number of research initiatives which look at various elements of the vertebral subluxation complex and its physiological impact in small animal models. The Foundation is interested in supporting projects that further these initiatives in a multidisciplinary collaborative environment and in particular:
- Research carried out towards expanding our knowledge of the vertebral subluxation complex.
2. Clinical Research.
While there are many clinical trials and studies that look at various elements of chiropractic care, the Foundation is interested in clinically oriented studies that contribute and expand our knowledge base about the impact of chiropractic adjustments on the spine, nervous system function, global health and quality of life.
