Support Opportunities
About Us
The Australian Spinal Research Foundation is a non-profit, grant-making, chiropractic research foundation. It provides evidence to grow chiropractic knowledge to ensure certainty for those delivering or receiving optimal health and vitality through natural, non-invasive or pharmaceutically-based means.
Our Mission
Our Mission is to fund research and disseminate knowledge that furthers the understanding, development and effectiveness of chiropractic care.
Our Focus
Our focus is on research to add to the base of evidence supporting chiropractic. We will achieve this through developing adequate funds to engage the best research expertise delivering quality, contemporary, scientific research.
Our Approach
Our approach is based on growing the human and financial capital invested in chiropractic research.
Our Need
Developing evidence is not a short-term exercise. As a dedicated research facility, acting on behalf of the chiropractic profession and its patients we can respond – but only if adequately resourced.

Your donated gift will directly support chiropractic research… and can be tax deductible. According to the Australian Tax Office (ATO) donors can claim tax deductions for gifts made to eligible gift recipients. The Australian Spinal Research Foundation is an eligible gift recipient with deductible gift recipient (DGR) status.
A donation is tax deductible when it is:
- made to a DGR
- truly a gift
- a gift of money or property that is covered by one of the gift types, and
- in compliance with any relevant gift conditions
A donation to the Foundation must be made with no ‘strings attached.’

Membership is a life blood of our Foundation and the work we do.
For over 30 years the Foundation has funded chiropractic research projects throughout Australasia. In the last 10 years alone over 50 individual research projects have been funded in Australasia by the Foundation. Membership of the Australian Spinal Research Foundation is a major contributor to our ability to continue supporting research. Support the profession that supports you! Become a member today.

Community Spinal Health Checks are undertaken by Chiropractors in collaboration with the Australian Spinal Research Foundation. Potential chiropractic patients are encouraged to make a donation towards chiropractic research through the Foundation in exchange for a free initial consultation. Patients like to support a good cause and experience shows most of those accepting the free consultation become patients.

Business Activities
The Foundation undertakes a number of commercial activities to generate funds for chiropractic research.
Communicate
‘Communicate’ is our commercial message delivery service, affording suppliers of goods, services and news a tailored solution to reach the chiropractic profession through the media options offered. Profits raised are exclusively applied to the Foundation’s purposes, without dilution through 3rd party consultants, agents or commercial partners. The generosity of members of the chiropractic community in accepting these messages, without unsubscribing, is a further demonstration of their support to chiropractic research and is greatly appreciated.
Mattress Assessment
In the interests of improving consumer spinal health through appropriate mattress selection the Foundation provides selected services for mattress manufacturers.
Business Partnerships
We work with a very limited number of valued business partners. Our apolitical position and necessity to remain free of influence dictates we can only enter into business partnerships with those who respect our steadfast need for independence and are truly aligned to our Vision and Mission.
Endorsements
The Foundation has a strict policy about endorsements. We do not provide endorsements of any kind, under any arrangement.
